Thai SeaFood @ Ulu Langat

I have been having cravings for Thai Food last weekend.
It is time to pay this place a visit. Operated by Siamese.

The man-made lake is surrounded by the restaurant. Here you will have fresh fish from the pond.

First booth...thai dessert....yay!~ Mango sticky rice!~ RM8 per bowl

The BBQ corner. Look at the size of the crab.

Their raw materials....mini market...

While waiting for the food to arrive..... saw them netting fish...

Fresh Japanese snails...

The moment i saw this .. i was like... Gosh....must be a lot of nyamuk. Surprising there wasnt any. We were there until 8++

FOOD FOOD

TOdy (RM5)
yes, they serve home brewed tody. Nice~ Nicest toddy ever..no sour taste...no alcohol smell....sweet like coconut

Seafood tomyam (RM18)
The taste should be better if more chillies were added. What's in there?? 3 Prawns, sotong and lala. Maybe small bits and pieces of fish.

Deep fried vege (RM 8)
This is so crispy and yummy. You can eat it like snacks...it is like those freeze dried mushroom in watson's. Of course....this is oily.
.
BBQ Japanese Snails (RM12)
Never tried ....first time eating...just like any snails meat..chewy chewy...not much taste but it is fresh ( of course it is fresh...fresh from the water ma...*slaps myself)....but i think it would be better if it is cooked with gravy. I'm also a lazy person... lazy to poke them out...one by one...

Salted egg york + fried sotong (RM 15)
Must eat while it is hot. I personally think that the egg is not that salty. Could be better if it is a little more salty

Thai style steam fish (tilapia) [RM 27]
Nice...sour + a little spicy.

If you are bringing outside beverages in, an additional charges of RM30 will be included

We were guessing how much will this meal cost...since we ordered so much seafood. A friend of mine told me it is not cheap. We too see alot of expensive cars here...must be something.

The moment the waitress handed the bill.... My eyes almost popped out. RM101.50???!~?!?
SOoooooooo Cheap!!!!!! I couldn't believe it!~

I would think that the food is too much for the 3 of us....but in the end, we managed to whack everything...can even order mango sticky rice....waaaa... we all eat like an elephant after the elephant sanctuary.

A recommended place for family and friends gathering. Cheap and nice food~

Bad Ass Coffee @ Tropicana City Mall

We decided to drop by looking at the unique name...

The ass here is not "your rear end"... it simply means...a male donkey...

The food we had

Beef rib....This is super yummy~ They really melt in your mouth. Equal ratio of fats and lean meat....yummy~ However, some of you might find the sauce a little salty...but im fine with it. MUST try!...However, the portion is really small. You can choose to have fries or rice. My advice, take the rice....the fries were soggy...not much of taste...

Cordon blue.....This is another sad case. The filling...as in the cheese and the ham is so so so little....we almost thought they deliver the wrong dish to him. That sauce there...is superb...I like!!

We had...'Polar bear' <---white chocolate + vanilla & Graniti <-----Dark chocolate + Irish Cream I find the Polar bear a little too sweet. Love the dark chocolate~ The bill came up to a whopping RM58.

Spain jersey after they won 2-1 against Chile~ It does feel like wearing uniform...i just don't understand why guys like to wear jersey.

Kinpachi @ Subang

I keep confusing myself with Kampachi and this..KINPACHI!!
Finally....a chance to dine in there....

I have been hearing Kinpachi over and over again from PT and Daniel. PT is telling how tasty and affordable Kinpachi is. This is almost similar to Motomiya (in Sungai Petani)...our favourite hang out place during our uni days. I just can't wait to try out the food...

Salivating.....

Yes, yes....of course....Hot towels (to wipe my saliva) before starting the meal....

IDAKO (RM12)!!!

Another IDAKO!!! This is marinated tako with wasabi....nice..but salty (RM20)

I ordered the Bento set...in fact, everyone of us ordered the bento set. I love the bento set because you get to try different food all in a set....the price?? Of course cheaper than ordering ala carte.....

Daniel...had this...okay.... i kinda forgotten what's the name of this set...But...it consist of tempura + sashimi (RM30)

PY had this......Grilled Beef on Iron Plate (RM29). The meat is tender...the gravy is not salty and it tastes really good.

PT's mum had grilled Pacific saury and egg custard (RM22)

Tadaaa!!! The biggest bento set is MINE!!!! and Seng !!! and PT...!!!! Super Super NICE. THe portion is actually quite alot for a four different types of food. Deep fried breaded pork+ egg omelet+Sashimi+ TEmpura+ Grilled Spanish Mackerel = KINPACHI BENTO (RM 32)

One word for the sashimi - FRESH!! Normally you don't get fresh sashimi if it is in the bento set....but this is so fresh..that you can taste the sweetness of the fish. The cutting is just nice...not too thick, just enough to melt on your tongue.

Okay,... i have to admit that i dont normally like tempura coz they have lotsa flour and usually tasteless or not so much taste. This tempura......i LOVE it. Not too much flour and...i'm not sure it is the flavouring added to it or the freshness of the prawn -ICHIBAN !!

The deep fried breaded pork...so so...normal la.Nothing much to comment :P
Grilled fish is yummy~ I love fish...especially grilled. Simply tasty!~
Definitely will go back for the same BENTO seT - Cheap & YUMMY~

After dinner, we had this............. Oreo Cheese Cake!!! but....too full....my bento set has filled my stomach to 90%. only 10 % left for the green tea and this....

This specially made Oreo Cheese Cake is for Daniel!!!!
Happy Birthday, young man!~

Daniel...cutting the cake...with PT's supervision.

Aunty finally "beh tong" seeing these two young "kid" cutting a uncut cake....

My slice...
The Tan family~ Thank you, PT....for the meal :)

Seremban Siew Pao

Seng went sampling at Bukit Tinggi....and he bought me Seremban Siew Pao...of coz the siew pao is from seremban...and NOT Bukit Tinggi...

He bought 2 boxes of this....TWO.....weeeeee...~

This is siew pao with ikan bilis. It tastes like curry puffs with ikan bilis filling. The combination of the skin and the filling is a little weird. They just dont blend well. I prefer the normal ones.

Yummy...this is the normal one with siew yuk. Delicious!~ The crispy skin plus the juicy siew yuk. Note that the siew yuk is not all lean meat...they have some fats....Gosh!~ Irresistible.. I can eat a dozen of this...maybe more...

Seng also bought the second type with not-so-crispy skin. Although the filling is the same, but...the taste and the combination is still not as orgasmic as the crispy skin.

Another one is the chicken filling. Maybe is the lacking of fats ...The taste and the texture is different. It is just a little too dry for my taste.

My love..................the Siew Pao~
